Accepted Countries

We accept affiliates and vendors from over 150 countries. To see a full list of accepted countries, visit our signup page and click the Country dropdown. If your country is not listed, you cannot sign up for a ClickBank account. We cannot make any exceptions to this rule.

Collecting Taxes

Because ClickBank is considered the final retailer/reseller for all products sold through ClickBank, it is our responsibility to collect and remit various types of sales taxes based on the customer’s location. ClickBank automatically collects and remits taxes for jurisdictions in which ClickBank is legally required to do so.

In addition to taxes collected due to our corporate status or “nexus,” here is more information about tax requirements in specific jurisdictions:

European Union VAT: As of July 1, 2003, online retailers of digital products, including ClickBank, are required to collect VAT (Value Added Tax) for products purchased by customers with a billing address located in the European Union (EU). ClickBank is responsible for remitting applicable sales tax since ClickBank resells the products to customers. The affiliate is not responsible for remitting the VAT.

New York State: As of June 1, 2008, ClickBank is required to collect sales tax on all sales made to residents of the state of New York. This is due to New York having implemented a new law that requires all online retailers with affiliates located in the state of New York to collect sales tax from customers who are residents of New York.

Q: I tried to sign up with you, but I never received my confirmation code.

A: The confirmation code is sent from the email address notify@clickbank.com. If you do not receive the confirmation code, it may mean your email account is blocking our messages. If you do not find our message in a spam or bulk mail folder, you will need to contact your Internet service provider or use an alternative email address when signing up. If you have no alternative email address, we suggest signing up for an account with gmail.com, hotmail.com, or any other free, web-based email host.

Q: Did I sign up as a ClickBank affiliate or vendor? I’m afraid I signed up for the wrong type of account.

A: Don’t worry, all ClickBank accounts can be used as a vendor, affiliate, or both. You don’t need to sign up for another account; you can use your existing account for whatever purpose you want, regardless of whether you signed up from the vendor or affiliate page.

Q: I am moving to a country that is not listed on your accepted countries list. Does this mean I can no longer use my ClickBank account?

A: Yes, unfortunately this means that you will no longer be able to use your ClickBank account. If you are in this situation and have money in your ClickBank account, and have met the stipulations of our payment policy, we will send your remaining check(s) to the address currently listed in your ClickBank account. Please be sure to have your mail forwarded with your local mail service.

ClickBank Nickname (ID) and Password

ClickBank Nickname (ID)

During the signup process you will select your ClickBank nickname. Your nickname, also known as your ClickBank ID, account ID, or affiliate/vendor ID, is your unique ID that allows us to accurately track all the transactions related to your account.

It will be visible to the customer every time we sell one of your products, and will appear on the memo line when we send you a check. Please keep in mind that once you open an account and select the nickname, the nickname for that account cannot be changed.

ClickBank Password

For security purposes, ClickBank will generate a password for you. Your password is case-sensitive and must be entered in all upper case letters.

Resetting a Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, or would simply like to change it to another password generated by ClickBank, please use the following steps to access your account:

  1. At the ClickBank login page, click the Forgot your password? link. You will be asked to enter your account nickname and the email address currently listed in your ClickBank account (if you do not have access to the email address you registered with please see the information below).
  2. Click Continue to step 2 – a confirmation code is automatically generated and e-mailed to you from notify@clickbank.com.
  3. Retrieve the confirmation code, click on the link provided in the email, and enter the code where indicated.
  4. After you click Finish, your new password is confirmed.

Creating Your Own Password

If you would like to set your own password, you must first be logged in to your ClickBank account. Go to the My Account page, located under the Account Settings tab.

On this page, locate the Account Information box, and click the link that says Change Password. Please note that your new password must contain the following characters:

  • 2 upper-case letters (e.g., A, B, C, D…)
  • 2 lower-case letters (e.g., a, b, c, d…)
  • 2 numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4…)
  • 2 special characters (e.g., !, @, #, $…)

Due to these requirements, your password must be at least 8 characters long, and can be up to 20 characters. Make sure you can remember your password, or write it down somewhere, as ClickBank employees do not have access to your password. If you forget your self-created password, you will need to go through the process detailed above to reset your password.

When you have finished entering your new password, click Change to save your password. After successfully changing your password, you will need to log in again using your new password.

If you have forgotten your password, and no longer have access to the email address listed in your account, first we will need to update the email address listed in your account. Please send a request through our Vendor/Affiliate Customer Service Form and state that you forgot your password and no longer have access to the email address listed in your account. Please be sure to include the following information:

  • The email address currently listed in your account
  • The street address currently listed in your account
  • If you have been issued a check from ClickBank in the last year, please verify the amount of the most recent check you received

For security reasons, if you change your password you will not be able to make changes to your payment information, including your payee name or your payment method, for seven days.

Q: I have an account, but I want to change my nickname. How do I do that?

A: In order to have a different ClickBank nickname, you must open a new ClickBank account. If you choose to open a new account and your current account has a positive balance, please keep in mind that we are unable to transfer funds from one ClickBank account to another.

Q: I received a password change email but I didn’t request one. Has someone hacked my account?

A: When ClickBank receives a password request, the confirmation code to generate a new password is only sent to the email address listed in your account.

Typically, when a request is made that the account holder does not authorize, it is not a malicious attempt to gain access. Instead, it is usually from an individual who has entered his or her own nickname incorrectly or has forgotten it altogether.

For additional security and your own peace of mind, you may wish to change your password again.

Q: I’m not receiving the email with my password. Why not?

A: First, be sure to check the spam or bulk mail folder. Occasionally our messages are delivered there by accident. If you still can’t find an email from us it means that your email account is blocking our messages. You can try adding the email addressnotify@clickbank.com as a contact and then sign up again. This should enable you to receive emails from us.

If you still can’t get the message you can use an alternative email address when signing up or contact your Internet Service Provider. If you do not have an alternative address, sign up for an account with gmail.com or any other free, web-based email host.

Setting Up Your My Account Information

Your primary account information, as well as your contact and payment information, are all controlled on the My Account page. To access the My Account page click on the Account Settings tab and then click on My Account. To enter or edit your information, simply click Edit in the upper right hand corner of each box.

Account Information

Your account information includes your payee name, your address, and your tax ID.

Checks are issued to your payee name and mailed to the address you provide. If you want to keep your personal name confidential, we recommend that you list a business name as your payee name, and use your personal name as the contact name. The payee name is also given to customers on their sales receipts and on technical support requests. More information about providing a taxpayer ID number is available here.

Contact Information

The contact information section includes several pieces of identifying information:

  • Name: The name you provide is used only for correspondence with ClickBank employees.
  • Account Email: Used only for correspondence between you and ClickBank unless you do not enter any additional email addresses, in which case it is used as the defaultemail address for all correspondence.
  • Account Phone: This phone number is only used for correspondence between you and ClickBank (it is not provided to customers).
  • Time Zone: Time zone is used to determine business days for customer service purposes.
  • Customer Service Email (for vendors only): We will forward technical support requests from customers to this email address. (As such, customers are provided with this address.)
  • Customer Service Phone (for vendors only): This phone number is provided to customers by ClickBank customer service if the customer has difficulty contacting you via email. It is not provided to the customer during the order process. Occasionally customers will ask for a phone number to contact a vendor for help instead of requesting a refund immediately. Providing this information could assist in saving sales that would otherwise be refunded.
  • Customer Service Website (for vendors only): We will provide customers with this URL via sales, rebill, and technical support notifications.
  • Transactional Email (for vendors only): We will send sale, refund/chargeback, and cancelation notifications to this email address. Please note, some of these emails are customer-facing so customers will see this email address. For example, refund notifications are sent to both you and the customer.
  • Promotional Email: We occasionally send targeted promotional emails based on specific account information. These emails come from ClickBank only, not any third parties. If you would like to receive these types of emails please enter an email address. If you don’t want account specific offers, make sure the field is blank.

Payment Information

Within the Payment Information Editor you can set your payment threshold and payment method. The amount you select as your payment threshold must be reached before ClickBank will issue you a paycheck.
